Starting in 2003 in Palermo Italy and continuing most recently in Paris (2023), Mazurek participates in the AWP Architects (Paris) workshops/rehearsals/presentations/performances exploring the means of a contemporary trend of interdisciplinary relationships between artists, musicians, sound artists, film and video artists. landscape designers and architects. Through this group he has exhibited paintings-videos-sound works in Rome, Copenhagen, Brussels, and Paris. The latest work being Val de Glitch (2023), a multi dimensional Opera based on architectural design tactics driven by sound collected from the sites, text and moving vision. A book and vinyl recording (PolySonicTectonics) document this unique performance/building piece and was presented to the Mayor and community of la Ville de Fontenay in 2023 as a means for new utopian urban development on the outskirts of Paris, France. Using sound collected from various sites in Fontenay, France, sound worlds were constructed/composed using various means. Modular synthesis and a unique Max/Msp program were used to transform sound into moving architecture, and finally still images to be used as ideas for structures. PolySonicTectonics.
